Stevie Wonder has slammed reports that his home was destroyed by wildfire which raged around Los Angeles.
The Superstition hitmaker was reportedly "devastated" after his home in the city's Porter Ranch area was ravaged by deadly flames earlier this week.
A source close to the 58-year-old star told the New York Post newspaper: "Everything was destroyed - all of Stevie's memorabilia, photos, musical instruments, history, clothing, furniture, everything.
"It's all gone. It was his main residence and he is utterly devastated.
Stevie has had to put his tour and appearances on hold while he deals with this."
But Wonder's publicist says the story isn't true, telling the Los Angeles Times, "Mr. Wonder was not personally affected by the Los Angeles Forest fires and sends his prayers to families that have been."
The wildfires - which have killed two people - were expected to be contained yesterday.
However, officials are warning that October and November could see more
fires in the region when the winds start after months of dry weather.
Senator Dianne Feinstein explained: "As the climate warms and wild land
fires become bigger and more intense, a rapid response is critical to
prevent the spread of fires."
