Step Dave's dramatic finale has been praised by fans, with many pleading for a third season of the TV2 drama show.
Season two of the locally made show, starring Jono Kenyon as Dave and Sia Trokenheim as Cara, came to an end last night with Dave proposing to Cara when many thought they might break up.
The show follows the romantic twists and turns of Dave and Sia's relationship after they met and fell in love despite their dramatic age differences and Sia's young family.
A TVNZ spokesperson says a decision is yet to be made on whether the South Pacific Pictures Production will return. The second season received $6,672,500 in funding from NZ on Air.
Throng reported last night's finale had 189,250 viewers.
