You have two weeks until Vector Arena rocks with the biggest music event of the year.
The hottest musicians are performing in the four main centres for a Samoan benefit concert "I Love The Islands".
Music royalty Dave Dobbyn, Che Fu and Bic Runga will share the stage with Hollie Smith, Opensouls, Savage and 20 of their closest industry friends.
Comedian Oscar Kightley will emcee, and it's all in the name of love.
Local musicians have been offering their services and recruiting friends for the music event.
Tim Finn told Kightley at brother Neil's Auckland studio yesterday, "It's easy to say yes to this one."
Thanks to sponsorship, all proceeds from the $25 tickets will go directly to victims of the tsunami.
"I Love The Islands" has personal resonance with rappers and the event's co-organisers, Scribe and Savage.
Both lost friends and relatives in the tsunami and their family villages have been destroyed.
When news of the tsunami hit, Scribe was quick to call family in Samoa.
His next calls were to Brotha D and Andy Murnane, the boys behind Auckland hip hop group Dawn Raid, to organise the fundraiser.
Murnane said the tsunami affected everyone and the level of support reflected the country's strong link with Samoa.
Kightley's mother's village was wiped out by the tsunami.
"We all felt we had to do something, it wasn't really an option for us.
"To have people [involved] of this calibre is pretty amazing," he said.
The Auckland concert on Monday week will kick-start the nationwide tour.
Tickets will be on sale from www.ticketmaster.co.nz from midday this Friday.
Rugby league fans will also get a chance to help tsunami victims at a Mt Smart Stadium game this Saturday.
