Stars let their hair down for big night

The Vodafone Music Awards might have been all about the music, but it was also a night for fashion-spotters.

The awards - in its 49th year - attracted legions of fans armed with cameras, tablets and cellphones in a bid to try to get photos with their favourite celebs.

International singing superstar Lorde turned up on the red carpet in a white pant suit and her hair left in its signature waves.

She proved to be a hit with fans; cheerfully greeting guests, posing for selfies and giving out hugs to the odd person who asked.

Another person who went for the all-white look was Stan Walker, who also gave a few cheeky smiles and pulled funny faces for those looking for a photo.

Brother-sister Broods turned out in classic black while opera stars Sol3 Mio had little choice but to don their signature tuxedos with white bow ties.
