Star Wars stars freak out at trailer

Two of Star Wars' newest stars have shared their enthusiasm for the new trailer for The Force Awakens.

Released late yesterday, the trailer was a massive online hit with Star Wars fans and already has 14 million views on YouTube.

It was also a success with two of the stars of the film, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley.

Boyega, who plays Finn, shared footage of himself watching the trailer, gasping in awe and finally jumping off his couch in excitement.

He wrote: "THE TRAILER IS JUST EEEEPPPPPPPIIIIICCCCCCC! Star Wars is back! gaaaaaad laaaaard! You know what! Let me just relax because this kind God oooo! Lmao! Seriously congrats to everyone ! December 18th!"

Meanwhile, Ridley, who plays Rey, was equally excited, saying she set her alarm to watch the trailer, which moved her to tears.

"Oh my God it's amazing," she blubbered, wiping her eyes at the end.

She wrote: "Totally emotional seeing it for the first time and so so so incredibly awed to be part of this incredible legacy."

Tickets for the film's December 17 release went on sale yesterday, temporarily crashing ticketing websites and causing a rush not seen since 2009's Avatar.
