Stars of the latest Star Trek movie descended on Sydney last night for the film's world premiere.
Eric Bana, Zachary Quinto, Chris Pine and New Zealand's own Karl Urban, who plays Dr Leonard 'Bones' McCoy in the new movie, were greeted by hundreds of fans at the Sydney Opera House.
Some Trekkies waited for hours to meet the movie's leading men, AAP reported.
The opera house was lit up blue for the event and Star Trek flags lined the red carpet.
The movie, which is a prequel to the existing Star Trek movies, opens in New Zealand on May 7.
