Expect the food to be excellent at this year's Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day at Ellerslie. The two new sponsors, wellness company Swisse and Mumm Champagne, are creating "the places to be" on course - the Swisse Glasshouse and the Mumm Racing Village.
Swisse is flying over MasterChef Australia judge and Swisse ambassador George Calombaris to create culinary magic with New Zealand's own top chef, Ben Bayly, from The Grove.
Not to be outdone, the Mumm Racing Village will have Nic Watt from Masu in its VIP section, food from SkyCity and, of course, Champagne.
Mumm VIPs include rich-listers Mark Francis and brother and sister Louisa and Topher Richwhite, Olympic sailors Blair Tuke and Peter Burling and model Kylie Bax.
Swisse VIPs include their newly named New Zealand ambassador and top candidate for All Black captain this year, Kieran Read, ZM radio host Jay Reeve and his wife, Anna, and Shortland Street star Ben Barrington.
