Last Saturday, Sarah Gandy, The Hits' morning host and TV One Breakfast's music expert married her long-time love, film editor Luke Haigh in Marlborough. The pair have known each other for almost 10 years, after first locking eyes across an Irish bar on St Patrick's Day.
The couple have had a busy time juggling work and wedding preps. In January, Haigh was at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah with good mate, Taika Waititi. Haigh edited and supervised the post production of Waititi's film Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
Haigh and Gandy's wedding was on the grounds of a B&B with a gorgeous native garden by the sea. Well-known guests included Breakfast presenter Nadine Chalmers-Ross and her fiance Dan Higgins from Curious Film fame, Born to Dance director Tammy Davis, and ZM's PJ Harding and Jase Hawkins.
Another well-known radio personality Paul Flynn of The Hits, was MC and marriage celebrant.
Gandy and Flynn have known each other for 15 years and he was the perfect person to marry them.
