Pie Melon Bay on Waiheke Island has seen many charity gatherings, but last weekend it hosted a stunning wedding.
Last Saturday, the picturesque $23 million ocean-front farm owned by Mainfreight boss Bruce Plested, whose wealth NBR estimated at $270m last year, was used for a family affair.
Plested's son, 24-year-old Daniel, married long-time girlfriend, girl-about-town Abby Gundy, 21.
The bride was stunning in a custom-made Jane Yeh dress and the groom looked sharp in Working Style.
The bridal party of five bridesmaids was all in white and cream, and six lads matched the groom in pale blue shirts, white trousers and navy jackets.
It was a full weekend of celebrations at Pie Melon Bay with a rehearsal dinner before the wedding and a breakfast on the Sunday, before the happy couple set off for a romantic honeymoon at the Inter-Continental Moorea Resort and Spa in Tahiti.
