Internet dynamo Seeby Woodhouse is set to move out of his famous North Shore clifftop mansion, Casa Del Mar. The house gained fame for housing MasterChef and NZ's Next Top Model contestants and Spy has witnessed some incredible parties hosted by Woodhouse in the sprawling 1000sq m Richard Priest-designed home. Although the ink is not quite dry on selling the multi-million-dollar house, Spy understands it is under contract.
Woodhouse and wife, Geraldine, have already started the search for the perfect inner city mega-apartment.
Woodhouse, who owns five central city commercial buildings, told Spy: "I have moved [business] Voyager from my building on Parnell Rd to another of my buildings on Albert St, which will soon be called Voyager House. "I want to work and live in the city," he said.
Woodhouse needs help finding the ultimate pad and is annoyed David Henderson's Princes Wharf penthouse sold for a song last year. He is open to a variety of options and happy to rent something plush while he finds the perfect pad.
Is it for entertaining? "That goes without saying. What I really am hoping is for an apartment version of what I had on the shore."
