Gok Wan may have blatantly declared his man-crush on TVNZ star Tamati Coffey, but the Breakfast weather presenter only has eyes for his long-term partner Timothy Smith.
The pair, who have been together for nearly four years, announced their engagement on Valentine's Day via social networking site Facebook.
They were quick to receive messages of support from friends, including radio star Mike Puru who said: "Welcome to the club, bro."
TV face Jayne Kiely offered her congratulations. "That is so romantic! Congrats you two lovebirds, beats a bunch of roses."
My sources at TVNZ tell me the affable star is planning a civil union ceremony later this year.
Coffey publicly outed himself in 2009 ahead of his winning appearance on Dancing with the Stars, but he told the NZ Woman's Weekly he came out to friends and family when he was 15-years-old.
The 31-year-old TV star has been a long-time supporter of Auckland-based charity Rainbow Youth which helps young people deal with issues surrounding their sexual orientation.
