Seven Sharp reporter Emma Keeling will head to London later this year as One News' Europe Correspondent.
As former TVNZ reporter Heather du Plessis-Allan makes her debut as TV3's new 7pm host on Story, another star reporter has landed one of TVNZ's most coveted roles.
Former TV3 star journalist Emma Keeling has been announced as One News' next Europe Correspondent, replacing Jessica Mutch at the end of the year.
Keeling was a sports reporter and Campbell Live journalist at TV3 for nine years, before switching channels to 20/20 and then on to Seven Sharp.
Keeling told Spy: "Seven Sharp has been a good time. They're a lovely bunch of people as well as being a supportive, enthusiastic, hardworking team, so I'm sorry to say goodbye."
But the personable reporter can't wait to land in London.
"I'm excited by the prospect of witnessing history being made. Being there as a situation unfolds and having to think on your feet is my favourite part of being a journalist.
"The biggest challenge will be getting enough sleep. I'll be working at both ends of the day for every news' show, possibly 7 days a week. It's a good thing I can sleep sitting up."
She's not the only one moving on. Former Campbell Live reporter, Anna Burns-Francis, has joined One News, replacing another TV3 defector, Rebecca Wright, who's on maternity leave.
Meanwhile, former One News reporter and producer Dianna Vezich has just left the state broadcaster for Prime News, where she is enjoying a smaller team with a faster pace.
"I'm absolutely loving the tight-knit Prime team. They're a fun, hard-working bunch and I'm fitting in well.
"I'm reporting three days a week for Prime News and producing the bulletin on the weekends - so it's a lovely mix."
2015 has been a big year for the former Christchurch reporter, who married her long-term partner Greg earlier this year.
Finally, rounding out the ever-changing newsroom line ups is the return of former One News reporter Kim Vinnell, who is home again after earning her Mike McRoberts flak jacket stripes for work in war zones and is now settling into TV3.
Vinnell told Spy: "I've come back having worked as a reporter for Al Jazeera English for the past three years. Deployments included the war in Ukraine, the fight against ISIS in Iraq, and the migrant crisis in the Mediterranean (among many other things)."
Vinnell is back for a "short term stint" with TV3.
"It's an adjustment coming back from doing world news, but it's heartening to see there are still people in New Zealand committed to agenda-setting journalism, and who are connected enough to see that what's happening in the rest of the world is important too."
High praise indeed for the TV3 newsroom, which Spy hears is slowly getting back to normal after the departure of John Campbell.
