"I have invited the PM but he is yet to RSVP. I know he is busy, but he loved meeting my dance partner and dear friend Kristie Williams at an event we attended in May before DWTS started."
Speaking of DWTS, will the full cast be on hand, following this week's headline-grabbing feud between Dom Harvey and Chrystal Chenery?
"At this stage all of the crew from the show have RSVP'd they are coming. Sunday's after-party was a tame affair at South Pacific Pictures and none of our partners were invited, so my party is the unofficial after-party of DWTS."
Mathura-Jeffree and Spy spoke yesterday during the Chenery/Harvey saga. Spy asked if he was still expecting everyone and if there would be an Ashram type hug it out room on arrival.
"So true, my party is about peace, love and understanding. Kristie is coming with her husband Jonny Williams and his dance partner was Chrystal Chenery. I hope she, Jay-Jay and Dom will still come. We all deserve to celebrate and have a wild time."
"I will be offering Chrystal a marshmallow flavoured vodka on arrival and Dom a passionfruit one."
Three years ago, Spy named Mathura-Jeffree's 40th birthday at The Wharf in Birkenhead our Party of the Year. It was truly a fantastic night with everyone you could want to see from the Auckland social circuit.
Mathura-Jeffree says this year's event will step it up again.
"It's always about me and this one will be much better than my 40th."
Mathura-Jeffree turned 43 on May 12, but with dancing commitments, he made the party the week following the final, perhaps hoping for a double celebration?
Tomorrow night is also a coming-out for Mathura-Jeffree as the brand ambassador for Famous Vodka, which will launch a special edition CMJ blend of vodka to mark the occasion.
Famous founders Simon Bruce and DJ Justin Sane have picked up on an international trend, matching celebrities with hard liquor.
Music Titan Sean (Diddy) Combs, teamed up with beverage giant Diageo to market CIROC Vodka; David Beckham also partnered with Diageo for a Scotch whisky range called Haig Club; George Clooney has partnered with his best mate Rande Gerber (Cindy Crawford's husband) in selling Casamigos Tequila; Justin Timberlake has Sauza 901 Tequila; and finally Dan Aykroyd was in NZ promoting his Crystal Head Vodka just under two years ago.
With all this lubrication from the beverages, will Mathura-Jeffree forgive DWTS judge Stefano Olivieri for attacking his corn rows on national TV? Will CMJ and Kristie Williams perform their much anticipated Bollywood dance-off?
He says: "Wait and see."
