Former Black Caps' captain Brendon McCullum went out for a duck on debut for his new Indian Premier League team this week but he is already planning his next adventure in the UK.
It was a less than impressive start for his team, the Gujarat Lions where he earns upwards of $1.5 million.
McCullum's six weeks of Indian competition is followed by six weeks at Middlesex County Cricket Club in London.
In an interview with the club this week, McCullum wore the pink Middlesex CCC uniform, and was quietly chuffed at his upcoming English sojourn. He will play at the world-famous Lords cricket ground in the wealthy, family-friendly suburb of St Johns Wood.
"I haven't spent a great deal of time in London," he said in the interview.
