Actress Kyra Sedgwick was extra spooked while shooting new horror film The Possession because it is based on a true story.
The movie centres around a little girl named Em, who goes to a yard sale and buys an antique box, which turns out to be haunted by an evil spirit.
The Closer star, who plays the child's mum, admits she struggled to keep her wits about her since the project was inspired by a real series of events.
"This is based on a true story," she told the New York Post.
"In real life, there's this guy who bought one little box at a flea market, and suddenly evil things happened. He then sold it, and that person got sick.
