BBC bosses have appealed to Doctor Who fans not to reveal spoilers for the upcoming eighth season of the cult sci-fi show, after scripts for five new episodes leaked online.
The material had reportedly been made public after the documents were sent to employees at the new BBC Worldwide Latin America headquarters in Miami, Florida for translation.
Now BBC chiefs are hoping Doctor Who devotees will help to keep the storyline for new lead actor Peter Capaldi's debut as the Time Lord under wraps until the season begins airing in the UK in August.
"Unfinished material has inadvertently been made public," a statement released by BBC executives reads.
"We deeply regret this and apologise to all the show's fans, the BBC and the cast and crew who have worked tirelessly making the series.
