Saddle up, folks, because the line up for the Southern Fork Americana Fest has just been released and it's a doozy.
The festival is a week-long celebration of Americana and alt-country music and has attracted some of the genre's biggest names and some hotly tipped up-and-comers.
On the international front Justin Townes Earle (son of Nashville legend Steve) headlines, playing with support from Canada's The Sadies. Son Volt is another big name to catch, playing with support from 2017 Grammy nominee Robbie Fulks.
Repping Kiwiana at Americana are Kiwi stalwarts The Warratahs, the critically acclaimed outfit The Bads as well as The Miltones, a new group attracting a lot of buzz.
The highlight of the festival, however, has to be The Shape I'm In: Hootenanny & BBQ. Reb Fountain and Hopetoun Brown are amongst the acts supplying the hoots while the grill heats up.
