My first job was... delivering the Howick and Pakuranga Times.
It taught me that... preparation is key, so I would fold the papers (sometimes with the help of my mum) before heading out on the run. It made the delivery so much easier. There are so many carryovers into my job now!!
My big break came.... The term "big break" is always relative to where you are at the time. The movie Savage Honeymoon felt like a break to me. I think I truly got the bug on that one. It came about the usual way - audition, callback, wait... I definitely had a few key people in my corner who got me over the line.
The last job I quit... would have been a demonstrating job I had, travelling around home shows and other types of shows hocking everything from frying pans to ab rollers. Although, I never technically quit. I just did less and less until one day I didn't do it anymore...
The most famous person I've met... would have to be either Steven Spielberg or Sir Anthony Hopkins. I was directed by the former and acted with the latter. They were both humble, generous and open gentlemen, so my already high opinion of them was not dashed!
