My first job was … I worked at the Waikuku Beach General Store when I was 13 for about three or four years.
It taught me … How to roll an epic icecream and make the perfect hot chips.
My big break came … I was offered a job up in Auckland at RadioLIVE while I was still finishing my post-grad journalism degree in Christchurch. As soon as I finished I was straight up there to the big smoke for my first big job - and my second day I was covering a high-profile court case - it was awesome!
The last job I quit was … I quit my job as Breakfast sports presenter at TVNZ. Why? Because a new and exciting challenge was offered to me by NZME, co-hosting the Christchurch breakfast show on The Hits. I'd always wanted to host a radio show so this was too good an opportunity to turn down.
The most famous person I've ever met is … I'm lucky I've met some pretty cool people, but the one who I was probably most nervous about was Mick Fleetwood. I interviewed him for Seven Sharp before the Music Awards a couple of years ago. He is the epitome of a rock star.
