KEY POINTS:
Suzanne Paul's microphone mishap - she caught her dress on her partner's mic last night while dancing the waltz - may have been the biggest drama to occur on this season of Dancing With the Stars, but compared to other stars' dancing disasters, it hardly rates a mention.
With franchises in more than 30 countries, there have been plenty of horror moments on dance floors across the globe.
From wardrobe malfunctions to dropped partners, we choose our favourite Dancing With the Stars faux-pas.
* Monique Coleman (USA)
American actress Monique Coleman, who starred in the Disney hit High School Musical, revealed more than she intended last year when her yellow skirt slipped, exposing her derriere to the world. Coleman recovered quickly and pulled her skirt back up, but footage of the incident remains a YouTube favourite.
* Apollo Anton Ohno (USA)
Last month, Olympic champion speed skater Apollo Anton Ohno managed to snag his dance partner's dress while lifting her, causing her halter neck dress to fall down, revealing her bra. The couple danced on regardless and are still in the running to be the next DWTS' champions.
* Rodney Hide (NZ)
How could we compile this list without mentioning our very own "dancing potato", Rodney Hide? Last season, viewers watched in horror as hide dropped partner Krystal Stuart following a lame attempt at the cha cha.
* Vincent Pastore (USA)
This Sopranos actor didn't even make it to the dance floor, quitting the latest season of Dancing With the Stars after just one week. The 60-year-old managed one rehearsal before deciding it was too physically exerting and he was not up to the challenge.
* Heather Mills (USA)
Mills faired better than most anticipated on America's most recent season of DWTS, but the former Mrs McCartney still found herself red-faced when she fell over at the end of a samba dance. Placing her leg on her dance partner's chest, her hand raised victoriously in the air, Mills lost her balance and tipped over backwards.
* Jennifer Hawkins (AUS)
Things went from bad to worse for the former Miss Universe last year when Hawkins lost her shoe, snapped her dress strap and sent her mic skidding across the dance floor. Fortunately, Hawkins was well-versed in wardrobe malfunctions - after infamously losing her skirt at a Sydney fashion show in 2004 - and just laughed the incident off.
