It seems unlikely we'll be seeing the real Simon & Garfunkel performing live together again in the near future, but if you love their songs, and hearing them over the stereo just isn't cutting it, then check out this live British production coming to Auckland for one night only.
Following a successful season in London's West End, and a tour through Europe, The Simon & Garfunkel Story stage show will play at the ASB Theatre in Auckland on Tuesday July 12.
The show aims to tell the story of the two young friends from Queens, who went from humble beginnings as 50s rock n roll duo Tom & Jerry, to become one of the most successful songwriting duos in the world.
Then came a dramatic split, successful solo careers, and reunited at a legendary 1981 Central Park concert.
The show features performances of hits like Mrs Robinson, Bridge Over Troubled Water, and The Sound of Silence, with UK performers Gregory Clarke as Paul Simon and Joe Sterling as Art Garfunkel, and merges them with a large projection screen showing photographs and film footage from throughout their career.
