KEY POINTS:
Those looking to head to next year's big gigs better get in quick as the Big Day Out and Foo Fighters are set to sell out by Christmas.
Ticket sales to the Big Day Out have been faster than ever before, according to organiser Campbell Smith.
Ever since the first announcement, ticket sales have been strong and Smith expects all 45,000 tickets to be gone by Christmas.
The Big Day Out organisers have also said they will not be honouring a large number of tickets that have been stolen. It is possible some punters bought these tickets thinking they were legitimate. If in doubt, they should check their ticket number against the list of stolen tickets posted at www.bigdayout.com.
If you do have a stolen ticket you should return it to the place of purchase.
Meanwhile, there are less than 1000 tickets left for the Foo Fighters' second show in March next year, after their first concert sold out in just seven minutes.
There are no standing tickets left to the March 6 show and organisers are confident the remaining seats will sell out over the next week.
