The Hobbit will be holding its first advertised casting call in Wellington this weekend, and people of average height need not apply.
In an advertisement placed in The Dominion Post yesterday, the call was put out for short and tall people.
Men and women between 123cm and 158cm and men over 203cm are being sought.
Those interested will need to be over 16 years old.
Anyone falling outside of these height requirements would be turned away.
The casting call was not for extras but for "scale doubles" for the film, which has been plagued by delays and funding issues.
Peter Jackson's The Hobbit has yet to get a green light despite this casting call.
