Shihad, one of New Zealand's most iconic and well-loved rock bands is celebrating 30 years on the Kiwi music scene by hitting the road for an anniversary tour.
Jon Toogood and Tom Larkin formed the band in 1988, adding current members, lead guitarist Phil Knight in 1989 and bass player Karl Kippenberger in 1993.
They've now released a total of nine studio albums - five of which went to number one in New Zealand - toured the world playing sell-out shows, major festivals, and sharing the stage with the likes of Motorhead, Metallica, AC/DC and more.
They've also been inducted into the NZ Music Hall of Fame and won a host of awards here and abroad.
So 30 years after the band started, they're hitting the road, playing a massive six dates throughout New Zealand this October.
