The video then shows LaBeouf boasting to the officer: "I got more millionaire lawyers than you know what to do with, you stupid b****!"
At one point he can be heard saying: "If I had my gun, I'll blow your s*** up."
The footage, which appears to have been edited down, concludes with LaBeouf standing against a wall and lamenting that his handcuffs are too tight.
'Why am I in custody? Why am I in custody?' he shouts.
A second video obtained shows that LaBeouf continuing to spew obscenities and ranting about race as he was being taken to jail.
"You're a pirate, b****!" LaBeouf howls from the back of the squad car, "and you put your own kind in the pen for nothing!"
He then goes on, telling an officer: "You put a white man in the pen, for what, you f***ing b****? for asking a black man for a cigarette?"
The Hollywood star then once again brings up his attorney.
"I pay my taxes, you dumb b****. You're about to meet my lawyer...and you'll feel like a stupid, slimy w****. Enjoy your life, that's your legacy, you f***ing coward."
And even then LaBeouf was not quite done yet.
An officer's body camera recorded the actor raving and spewing profanities as he was been processed at the county jail a short time later.
"You're a f***ing b****," he tells a white officer, who smirks in response. "You haven't done s*** for my country, you b****."
LaBeouf is then stood up against the wall, with his hands still restrained, and proceeds to chant, "the cuffs are too tight," over and over again, then presses the cops to tell him the reason for his arrest, as a female officer tries to get him to spell out his last name.
According to police, the incident began unfolding when the Holes star asked a bystander for a cigarette to which he was told no, prompting him to be disorderly, "using profanities and vulgar language in front of the women and children present."
After he was to leave, police say LaBeouf refused and became irate towards an officer. He ran to the hotel to avoid arrest.
It's not the Transformers star's first time in a cell, having been arrested five times before.
• In February 2005, he was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, after ramming a neighbour's car with his in a road rage incident.
• In July 2008, he was arrested for drunken driving after being involved in a crash in Los Angeles, and refusing a Breathalyzer test at the scene. Police later confirmed the accident was not his fault.
• In June 2014, LaBeouf was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass at New York's Studio 54 theatre, where he swore and spat at police, according to his arrest report.
• In January of this year, he was arrested after an altercation at his He Will Not Divide Us anti-Trump protest doubling as performance art.
• He was also arrested in November 2007 for misdemeanour criminal trespassing while loitering in a Walgreens pharmacy and refusing to leave.
• A warrant was issued for his arrest in March 2008 after he failed to turn up for court over an unlawful smoking incident in Burbank, but it was recalled when his attorney eventually turned up the following day.
• In February 2011, he was also lead away by police in handcuffs after a fight at a bar in Sherman Oaks, but no arrest was made.
