Sheen sues studio, Chuck Lorre for $100m

The jobless actor has followed through on his threat to sue after he was sacked from the TV show earlier this week.

TMZ reports

that the embattled actor is suing for a whopping $100 million plus punitive damages.

Sheen claims that the lawsuit isn't just for his own benefit, he's also suing on behalf of the show's cast and crew. Although none have put their names forward as parties to the lawsuit.

Legal documents obtained by the website show that Sheen is demanding to be compensated for the 8 cancelled episodes from the current season.

Sheen's lawyer,

Marty Singer

, wrote in the suit, "Chuck Lorre, one of the richest men in television who is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, believes himself to be so wealthy and powerful that he can unilaterally decide to take money away from the dedicated cast and crew of the popular television series,

Two and a Half Men

, in order to serve his own ego and self-interest, and make the star of the Series the scapegoat for Lorre's own conduct."

He adds: "Charlie Sheen is not only seeking payment for his own compensation for the series, but he is also pursuing claims for the benefit of the entire cast and crew to get paid the balance of the season's 24 episodes."

Sheen alleges in the lawsuit that Lorre decided to cancel this season's remaining episodes before the actor slated him in a series of tell-all interviews.

The suit also claims Warner Bros. violated federal and state laws by firing Sheen when he was sick.

"Warner Bros. understood that Mr. Sheen suffered from alleged physical and mental disabilities ... none of these resulted in Warner Bros. suspending Mr. Sheen. What did?"

There's been no word from the studio on the filing. Mind you, they've probably said all there is to say on the stink.

to Singer last week, explaining why Sheen was given the boot.

And Sheen's take on the suit? Boyo's as cockahoop as ever.

"Fastball, torpedo away...You corporate trolls were warned. And now you've been served!"

Update: Chuck Lorre has responded to Sheen's filing.

Speaking through his lawyer,

Lorre tells TMZ

: "The allegations in the complaint against Mr. Lorre are as recklessly false and unwarranted as Mr. Sheen's rantings in the media."

Adding: "These accusations are simply imaginary. This lawsuit is about a fantasy 'lottery' pay-day for Charlie Sheen.

"Chuck Lorre's concern has been and continues to be about Mr. Sheen's health."

Meanwhile, Sheen's found yet another outlet for his ramblings.

, Sheen demonstrates his culinary skills and shares his favourite recipes.

"Yes, I'm doing a cooking show. Why? Because if you haven't noticed, I'm winning television right now," Sheen boasts to the camera.

"My plan is to be the first person to have made an appearance on every television network," he adds. "Just like I was the first person to get 1 million Twitter followers in 24 hours. Like I was the first to build my own rocket ship to Cassiopeia using my mind tools. Here I come, Food Network!"
