He's lived long, and he's certainly looking prosperous.
The Herald yesterday caught up with William "Captain Kirk" Shatner, who turns 82 on Friday. Shatner is in Auckland promoting Sky new channel Jones!, which launches in May.
Jones! will feature the original Star Trek series and a selection of golden oldies (including Bonanza, Happy Days and Charlie's Angels) and will also feature another of the actor's hits - TJ Hooker.
Hooker is a cop with a bad attitude, a shotgun and a young Heather Locklear as one of his rookie partners.
According to Sky TV, TJ Hooker, which debuted on US television in 1982 and ran for five seasons, has never screened here.
