Sex and the City

star

Kristin Davis

has bagged herself a new man, according to reports.

Tongues are wagging that the 44-year-old actress - who plays Manhattan princess Charlotte York Goldenblatt in the hit US TV show and movie - has fallen for Australian celebrity snapper

Love and the Down Under City

A snitch tells

People

magazine that the romance isn't new and has "been going on for a bit now," according to the report.

"She's very supportive of him - she seems very happy," the source says.

Kristin, soon to reprise her role as hopeless romantic Charlotte in the follow-up to 2008's big screen outing of the series, was spotted enjoying an intimate dinner with James at a restaurant in Los Angeles last week.

The pair sat together in an intimate booth, sharing one very small side of a bench, and spent the night flirting and giggling, a fellow-diner and snitch tells the magazine.

"Davis rested her head against his shoulder. She was all smiles. A little giddy."

The pair then left the uber trendy and celeb-magnet Katsuya Brentwood eatery holding hands.

Flirt, but be alert

Rumours began swirling that they were a hot item back in June, when Davis was snapped at a party to promote James' new photography book in Santa Monica.

A snitch at the time said: "They hung out at the party and were definitely a little flirty even in public. They seemed like an item."

Davis' rumoured hook-up with the Aussie snapper might explain why she's been spending so much time in Oz - she was recently seen hanging backstage at the final of Australia's

, according to ninemsn.com.

Ah, it's enough to melt even the most cynical of hearts. Has Davis finally found her real-life Harry?

No word from Davis' camp on the rumoured hook-up.

That clanger aside, old permatan also says she's got another autobiography coming out later this year. Saints preserve us.

"My question is for Megan," one audience member asked Fox at Com Con. "I have a Sony HVR (video camera). It's not a true HD, but it gives a pretty good image.

"Anyway, my question is: I just graduated film school and I'm trying to help my career. I was wondering if you'd be interested in some kind of, like, celebrity sex tape?"
