Selma Blair says she is "filled with shame" after being stretchered off a plane following a freak out in which she yelled: "He burns my private parts".
The incident took place when the 43-year-old American Crime Story star was flying from Cancun to Los Angeles, and began ranting incoherently.
Inan exclusive interview with Vanity Fair, Blair apologised for making "a big mistake" and explained what happened.
"I made a big mistake yesterday. After a lovely trip with my son and his Dad, I mixed alcohol with medication, and that caused me to black out and led me to say and do things that I deeply regret," she said.
"My son was with his dad asleep with his headphones on, so there is that saving grace. I take this very seriously, and I apologise to all of the passengers and crew that I disturbed and am thankful to all of the people who helped me in the aftermath."
The actress had flown to Mexico four days earlier with her four-year-old son to celebrate Father's Day weekend with her ex, fashion designer Jason Bleick.
Selma Blair was most recently seen in the TV series The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story in which she played Kris Jenner.
She also recently starred alongside Susan Sarandon, Sharon Stone and Courteney Cox in the film, Mothers and Daughters.
