BRISBANE - Tight security surrounded model Miranda Kerr when she attended a charity event in Brisbane after threats were reportedly made against her and partner Orlando Bloom.
An unknown Queensland man is said to have threatened the glamour couple, News Limited reports.
Ms Kerr was flanked by beefy security guards as she spent several hours on Sunday at a charity function for Kids Help Line organised by her mother, Therese.
Security was tight at the charity event in the Brisbane suburb of Rocklea, with patrons passing a security gate and bag check.
Several times Ms Kerr took the stage, at one time telling the crowd that Bloom, who was expected to accompany her during the Australian visit, was in Dubai.
She had earlier attended the Caulfield Cup in Melbourne on Saturday.
Ms Kerr flew back to the United States on Sunday night.
A police spokeswoman told AAP they did not reveal the names of those who were subjected to threats.
The model's representatives would not discuss the threat, News Ltd said.
