KEY POINTS:
Eager fans snapped up more than 12,000 tickets to Guns N' Roses Auckland show this morning, causing the show to sell out in less than an hour.
A second concert has now been announced and tickets are set to go on sale at 1pm today.
The second show will take place at Vector Arena on Saturday, June 30, the night after the original concert takes place.
Concert promoter Paul Dainty said he knew demand would be strong, given the intense levels of interest leading up to today.
"Guns N' Roses have not been in New Zealand since 1993 so it's been a long wait to see this legendary band; we expect tickets for the final show will sell out fast," he said.
The band will be a skeleton of its former self, with singer Axl Rose the only member remaining from the original band that played at Mt Smart Stadium in 1993.
Guests include former Skid Row singer and American reality TV star Sebastian Bach and Australia's Rose Tattoo.
Tickets to the second show go on sale today at 1pm, through Ticketmaster.
