NEW YORK - US rapper and hip-hop music producer Sean "Diddy" Combs has become a father to twin girls after his girlfriend Kim Porter gave birth early on Thursday in New York, his publicist said.
The Grammy-award winning rapper and founder of Bad Boy Records flew back from filming in Toronto and "made it just in the nick of time for the delivery," publicist Robert Zimmerman in a statement.
"Diddy received an early Christmas present," said Zimmerman. "Both Kim and the girls are doing great."
The couple also have an 8-year-old son, Christian, and Combs has another son from a previous relationship.
Combs, 37, who in October put out his first album in five years, has undergone several names changes since he won a Grammy in 1998 for his debut rap album No Way Out released under the name "Puff Daddy."
Since then he has been known as "P.Diddy," which he still uses in Britain after a legal battle prevented him from calling himself "Diddy."
