Who will be the next Danielle? Or the next, um, what was that chick's name who won the first New Zealand's Next Top Model? Cristobelle, that's right.
Anyway, find out when the model search show returns to TV3 tomorrow night at 7.30pm. And elsewhere it's a good week for local telly fodder with The Food Truck (Sunday, TV One, 7pm) making Kiwi takeaways healthy, celebrity shrink Nigel Latta looking at the impact of the Christchurch earthquake (Wednesday, TV One, 8pm) and perhaps most interesting of all, documentary The Hunt For the Pink and White Terraces (Prime, Sunday, 8.30pm), about the search for the archaeological remains buried 125 years ago.
MUSIC
If you've got a little bit of down time tonight, hip-hop dance pop hot shots Kidz in Space celebrate the release of their debut album Ghost with a show at Juice Bar in Parnell as part of a nationwide tour; the delicious, meandering country rock tunes of The Vietnam War, who release their debut album in July, play Leigh Sawmill on Saturday, and Greg Johnson's Small Towns and Ball Gowns tour draws to a close with shows at Mills Reef Winery in Tauranga tomorrow, Black Barn in Havelock North on Saturday and Downstage Theatre in Wellington on Sunday. Get dolled up and get along.
MOVIES
Super 8, the new film by director J.J. Abrams (Lost, Star Trek, Mission Impossible) and producer Steven Spielberg, is the film of the year so far.
Not that I've seen it yet but this is what TimeOut editor Russell Baillie says in his five-star review: "Both a spirited old-fashioned sci-fi adventure and a drama about a bunch of kids where the characters shine as brightly as the special effects." Sounds good to me.
The film follows a group of kids who, while out shooting a super 8 zombie flick, witness a train crash; then strange happenings start begin in their small town.
