Saoirse Ronan would never move to Los Angeles.
The 15-year-old Lovely Bones star claims she would never move to Hollywood as it has a bad effect on young people.
She said: "I would never want to move to Los Angeles. I've seen kids get messed up there. They just stop being genuine people."
The teenage actress, who is up for a Best Actress award at the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television) Awards, also admits The Lovely Bones director Peter Jackson understood her.
She said: "I will always have a child in me. That is what Pete Jackson has got, what a lot of the directors I have worked with have. It is about knowing how to have fun - and that is something I always want to hold on to."
Discussing the role of Susie Salmon in The Lovely Bones, Saoirse admits she found it challenging and struggled to switch off.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "Near the start, I would come home from work and just cry.
"It was upsetting to think this - rape, murder - happens to girls and children; it was hard to push away. But mam and dad are always with me and if I'm ever upset just to get a hug is good."
