Samantha Hayes went from newsreader to pilot this week as she took to the catwalk to open a glamorous fashion show in Queenstown.

The Newshub anchor, once voted Metro magazine's sexiest woman, strutted down the catwalk dressed as a pilot to open yesterday's show which launched footwear designer Kathryn Wilson's Spring/Summer collection.

The sold out show was part of the annual winter champagne celebration Clicquot in the Snow and was held at the Milford Sound Flights Hangar in Queenstown which was
transformed into a glamorous 1960's PanAm Airways inspired catwalk.

An array of models dressed as Veuve Clicquot air hostesses, showcased the new
collection from the country's leading footwear designer to a playlist of 80s hits.

The 17 footwear designs on display embraced feminine shades of pastel pink and
lilac leather, complimented with touches of Clicquot yellow and floral embroidery detailing.

The collection will be available from August 15.
