Sam Smith has flip-flopped on whether or not he sees himself as a spokesperson for gay rights.
That ended for good last month, when he announced in an interview with The Observer that he planned to set up his own LGBT charity to help those oppressed in other countries live as freely as possible.
He aims to fund the project by donating money earned from a series of concerts he's set to perform.
But in a recent interview with 60 Minutes, the singer admitted that he is personally more affected by derogatory comments about his weight than those about his sexuality.
"If someone called me fat, that affects me way more than someone calling me a f*****," he said.
