“But to me. As if I’m Weasel. He was like, ‘You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star, but you do just enough exposition that it’s funny and then we can leave and get back to the real movie’.”
However, their feud didn’t last long after Miller made his feelings public.
Miller went on to reveal that Reynolds had reached out via email to resolve the misunderstanding, and claimed they were now on amicable terms.
It comes after Baldoni filed a bombshell US$400 million ($700m) defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds amid their ongoing feud – and Taylor Swift has been dragged into it.
Baldoni’s lawsuit also addresses allegations Lively made in the initial California Civil Rights Department complaint she filed and subsequent lawsuit against the actor for emotional distress and harassment.
The Gossip Girl star has claimed that her co-star made her feel uncomfortable on several occasions by allegedly making sexually suggestive remarks, including speaking about his past porn addiction.
However, Baldoni said the porn discussion took place when they were developing a scene and Lively “offered up” that she had never seen porn in her life, prompting her co-star to mention his issues.
Baldoni also denies that he ever walked in on Lively when she was breast-pumping or breastfeeding for her newborn, as was alleged in her complaint.
His lawyers argue in the new lawsuit that Lively was actually “so close and comfortable” with the director that she “freely breastfed in front of him during meetings”.
“She took photos of him holding and soothing her crying baby in her penthouse,” the complaint further claims. “They laughed deliriously during late-night writing sessions. All of these events took place after the alleged sexual harassment. Lively’s accusations seemed to come out of the blue.”
Baldoni claims that Lively was the one who made “derogatory comments” about his appearance, “telling him he should undergo rhinoplasty”.
