Ryan Reynolds has high hopes for Deadpool

Ryan Reynolds says money isn't everything when it comes to superhero flick Deadpool.

The movie doesn't have an enormous budget like most superhero movies do, but that isn't a bad thing, according to Reynolds.

He told MTV that it's been in gestation for so long, the fact that it's happening "the right way" is all that matters.

"We dont have the money that most superhero movies do, but that's great, actually," he said.

"You know, necessity's the mother of invention and that's why we get to make the movie we want to make."

When topic turned to Deadpool's potential to turn out like Reynold's other superhero venture, the poorly received Green Lantern, the actor says you just have to have faith in the preparation that's been done ahead of the film's release.

"On this one, the prep's been eleven years. So, you know, you'd like to think that you're putting your best foot forward, but we'll see."
