Ryan Adams' cover version of Taylor Swift's 1989 album has arrived.

The reimagining of the pop star's hit album in the stylings of the alt-country hero has been highly anticipated by Swift fans the world over, and even by Swift herself.

The pop superstar has been counting down to the album's release on her Instagram page, with her latest post incorporating her love of cats.

"Waiting fur Ryan Adams 1989 like" she posted over a photo of a cat.

To really understand what this means to Swift, she tweeted her feelings three days before the cover's release.

"Ryan's music helped shape my songwriting. This is surreal and dreamlike. Countdown to #RyanAdams1989 @TheRyanAdams," she tweeted.

Well countdown no more, Taylor, because Adams' reimagining is now available on iTunes, in its entirety and it sounds...like a Ryan Adams album. A good one.
