Russell Crowe may have revealed Ed Sheeran is secretly engaged

Russell Crowe might have just accidentally confirmed Ed Sheeran is secretly engaged to his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.

The Kiwi Gladiator star was on Australian breakfast radio program Fitzy And Wippa on Friday when he casually referred to Seaborn as Sheeran's "fiancee".

Crowe, who is pals with the Shape of You hitmaker, was telling his interviewers about Ed's regular visits to his farm.

"He was on tour here and he was getting a bit burned out so he came up and stayed at the farm for a couple of days to get some sleep and then we became conversational mates," Crowe said.

He then added: "He has subsequently gone back to the farm with his fiancee for more time."

There's been no official statement on the engagement, but when Sheeran last visited this part of the world he told Aussie's Kyle and Jackie O Show he was ready for marriage and children with Cherry.

He has been dating Seaborn for about two years.
