Ruffalo: No one wants aging Hulk

You wouldn't like him when he's grey.

At least, that's the opinion of The Avengers star Mark Ruffalo, who plays the Hulk in the popular franchise.

The 46-year-old says while he's keen to keep playing the quick-tempered Bruce Banner, his age might get in the way.

"I did the math, and in three more movies I'll be in my 50s," he told a Reddit Ask Me Anything session.

"I don't know if anyone wants to see a gray-haired Hulk."

Ruffalo will reprise his role as the green-skinned monster in the Avengers: Age of Ultron sequel, due out next year.

But he says he almost didn't try for the part but co-star and friend Robert Downey Jr talked him into it.

"I remember when the role came up in the movie, I reached out to him," Ruffalo wrote. "I was nervous about it."

"I said 'I don't know if I can do this' and he said 'It's alright buddy, I gotcha."'

As for future Hulk spin-offs, Ruffalo said he'd be happy to recruit Guardians of the Galaxy star Zoe Saldana as the She Hulk.

"It'd be nice to see someone like her join the Avengers," he admitted.

"Or someone quiet and demure like Emma Stone would be nice."
