Ruby Rose wants Margot Robbie's hair for her Harley Quinn shrine

Seems like everyone is a Margot Robbie fan at the moment - and that's including fellow Aussie international success story, Ruby Rose.

Rose, an avid comic book fan, has issued a public plea to her fellow Aussie and star of big-budget DC Comics adaptation Suicide Squad.

However, it's the sort of request that Robbie might not be too keen to fulfil.

Sharing a picture of her comic book 'shrine' on Twitter - shelves laden with all sorts of geeky goodies - Rose tweeted, "When you just added some Harley Quinn to your shrine but now you just need @MargotRobbie strand of hair."

Not content to leave it there, Rose again tweeted Robbie directly, couching her request in the old 'asking for a friend' excuse.

No word yet from Robbie on whether she'll fulfil the hairy order, as she's not responded to Rose's tweets.

Fans have been quick to chime in though, suggesting that it's high time Robbie and Orange Is The New Black actor Rose appear in a film together. May we suggest Robbie watch her hair should that ever happen.

Of course, she's no stranger to odd and unsettling reactions to her ever-skyrocketing fame: last month she found herself at the centre of a worldwide media storm over Vanity Fair's cover story, 'The summer of Margot Robbie', in which the writer made some seriously strange remarks including, "Australia is America 50 years ago, sunny and slow, a throwback, which is why you go there for throwback people".

Fiercely patriotic, she recently told news.com, "It was bizarre. I didn't really understand what he was getting at. It was definitely not an accurate portrayal of Australia at all and anyone who's been there knows it's an incredible country full of wonderful people. It has a film industry and more and more jobs are going there.

"Actually, I'm hoping to have a new film there soon so I have an excuse to be home."
