KEY POINTS:
Olivia Newton-John's daughter has spoken about her battle with anorexia and her lonely childhood.
Chloe Lattanzi said her famous mother's travel schedule meant she "spent a lot of time alone in big houses".
The revelations came on the new US talent reality show, Rock the Cradle.
The 22-year-old, who has pursued a singing career for several years, is one of nine famous offspring competing for a record contract.
Lattanzi's competitors in the American Idol-type show include Landon Brown (son of Bobby Brown), A'keiba Burrell-Hammer (daughter of MC Hammer), Crosby Loggins (son of Kenny Loggins) and Jesse Blaze Snider (son of Twisted Sister's Dee Snider).
A nervous Lattanzi made a less than stellar debut last week with her rendition of the INXS classic, Never Tear Us Apart.
She opened up about her early life. "My mum travelled a lot so I think I missed out a lot when I was younger," Lattanzi said.
"I suffered from anorexia and that has been the darkest time in my life."
