Rockers raise $354,903 for Christchurch

American rockers the Foo Fighters' Auckland charity concert in March raised $354,903 for the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal.

The band also raised more than A$770,000 ($1,043,304) for Queensland flood and cyclone victims with a charity concert in Brisbane.

Premier Anna Bligh yesterday thanked the band for its efforts, which she said had added a sizeable sum to the state's disaster relief appeal.
