Rocker Slash has signed on to produce a 1980s-inspired slasher movie.
The former Guns 'N Roses star has teamed up with bosses at horror production firm Revolver Picture Company for an as-yet-untitled movie, which will launch a new franchise.
Details are scarce on the project, but it will pay homage to cult 1980s favourites Halloween and Friday the 13th, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Revolver bosses Kelly Wagner and Nick Phillips approached the guitarist after discovering his passion for the genre, with Phillips explaining, "We knew he was into horror movies so we had big long dinner. He gets it, from the old Universal classics to the 70s, and yes, excitedly for us, the 80s."
Wagner adds, "He had been thinking along similar lines as us. It was serendipitous."
