British television historian Sir Tony Robinson is filming another series in New Zealand this month and he's inviting people who have stories about the country's war history to get involved.
Best known before before becoming a doco frontman as Blackadder's faithful servant Baldrick, Robinson will he here with a new series Tour Of Duty. It follows his Time Walks on the History Channel, which recently featured Wellington and Christchurch.
This time, Robinson and crew will be in Dunedin and Auckland as part of the 10-part series which focuses on the lives of people who went to war and those who stayed at home in the past 100 years since the beginning of World War I. The production will be hosting two community events in New Zealand - at Toitu Otago Settlers Museum in Dunedin on Sunday March 30 and Auckland War Memorial Museum on Saturday April 5 (12.30pm-5.30pm)
The public are being invited to bring along their stories for Robinson to hear while being filmed and wartime memorabilia that can be examined, Antiques Roadshow style.
