House of Cards' Robin Wright is set to join Harrison Ford in the Blade Runner sequel.
Wright is in final negotiations to play a key character in the follow-up to the 1982 sci-fi flick, reports Variety.com, although it's unknown if she will play a human or a replicant.
The tale, co-starring Ford and Ryan Gosling, will continue several decades after the original that was set in a dystopian 2019 Los Angeles.
Ford is reprising his role of detective Rick Deckard and Denis Villeneuve (Sicario) will direct, with the untitled film set for release in early 2018.
The original film, based on the 1968 Philip K Dick story Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, starred Ford as an ex-police officer tracking down escaped genetically engineered replicants who had returned to Earth illegally in order to extend their four-year life spans.
