The Wellington leg of Robbie Williams tour faced an uncertain future for a brief moment on Sunday afternoon when a tree on the edge of the Basin Reserve went up in flames.
Promoter, Chugg Entertainment, waited with baited breath as the fire service tackled the flames. Luckily there was no structural damage and no one was injured and the show will go ahead.
As an added bonus, Robbie sent his Wellington fans a special message. With the Rugby World Cup finals on the same date, Robbie said it will be an extra special celebration when New Zealand wins.
Robbie Williams' "Let me entertain you" tour is coming to Wellington on the 31st of October and Auckland's Vector Arena on the 3rd of November.
