Home and Away actress Kate Ritchie will say farewell to Summer Bay after 20 years when filming wraps on the 2007 season.
Ritchie, 29, has played the character Sally Fletcher since the show began 20 years ago.
She said that after spending most of her life on the show's Palm Beach set it was "time for a change".
After being cast for the role aged eight, she will film her final scenes on the show in December.
"The timing's right," she told the Seven Network.
