Rihanna's father wants to see her reunite with Chris Brown.

The 26-year-old singer may have sparked outrage after he was charged with domestic abuse against the Diamonds hitmaker in 2009 but it seems her dad Ronald Fenty has been able to see past his violent streak as he has admitted he would "support" a reunion between the pair in the future.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: "Chris will always have a place in our family and my heart. He respects me, calls me pops and I like him - despite what happened. He's very talented... I'd support them being together."

However, Ronald doesn't think he'll ever be able to forget what Chris - who punched and bit the singer - did to his daughter and has claimed he was on the verge of getting "revenge" on him but managed to keep his "cool."

He said: "It was a very difficult time for the whole family. Nobody wants to see their daughter hurt."

Chris - who has since welcomed his daughter, Royalty with a fling - was sentenced to five years on probation for the assault but still maintains an amicable relationship with Rihanna.

She said recently: "I will care about him until the day I die but We're not friends, but it's not like we're enemies. We don't have much of a relationship now."
